I believe that when God created the world he made February the shortest month of the year as an act of mercy. If I was big into winter sports I am sure that I would feel differently but I am not and I hate being stuck inside- worse having my kids stuck inside because it takes an army and 45 minutes to get them dressed appropriately to go outside in the weather. Yet I do love that half way through the most horrid month of the year there is a wonderful holiday to celebrate how much we love each other. I do love valentines day. I especially love it now that I have kids and get to celebrate it with them. We don't do anything huge but it is a fun food holiday! I made the cheesecake for Josh (although I think I ate more of it than he did!)
Monday was presidents day and we wanted to get out of dodge. This is when I realized that having a holiday in the middle of winter wasn't too fun unless you had money to go spend. We didn't so we decided to take the kids to the free aquarium aka Cabellas and then to Thanksgiving point to see the barn animals. We had a lot of fun!

We had a fun day and Turner has been asking everyday to go see the animals. I love spending time with my family no matter what time of the year it is!

Love the picture of Turner behind the bars is so cute. Feb. is hard but you can always think spring is getting closer.
I'm so with you. I love snow, but winter is too dang long, and I'm so bored. Winter gets old after Christmas is over. Thank goodness Feb. is short, and almost over! Plus I'm sick of the weather not making up its mind. Now that is seems like I could take Franklin out to play (I'm with you on the shut in this) he got a cold.
Way to go Tiff! You're awesome! I'm saying that because you are a MUCH better person than I...I'd be dead already, a victim of the snowy cold.

Just so you know it's in the 80's in AZ. I went running in shorts and broke a sweat. I love the pics of the boys caged. They're so cute. It was so fun getting to know them when you were here in the fall. My vote is that you check out of dodge and move to the valley of the sun!

An army and 45 minutes. I like that. Pretty soon its bled into somebody's nap. Going outside becomes the event of the day, if you will. Love your valentines and president day celebrations. I really didn't do enough this year, it snuck on me and pow!! Afterward I thought on it, I want to really make more of the celebrations of life. I do w/ Christmas, but thats just once a year. After all, V-day is a grace from God, as you put it in a round about way!!
