Well, I need to catch up on past events and there are a couple of moments from Christmas that I really want to remember. It was Cooper and Amelia's first Christmas. I know they don't really know what it going on but it is still special to celebrate the birth of the Savior when you have a new (or two) baby in your home. It was really fun as Turner and Max were really into Christmas this year and all of the holiday magic. When I asked Turner what he wanted to ask Santa for he thought for a moment and then asked "What is it that I don't have?" I really loved this because in all honesty by this country's standards we are poor...
monetarily but I believe that we really are wealthy. Because we don't have a lot of material
possessions but we have four beautiful children and a wonderful family. That is what it is really all about.

Another moment that was precious to me was when I was telling Turner and Max the story of
Christ's birth. I love nativities, in fact I collect them. My home is filled with
nativities little, big, ones they can play with and ones they are not allowed to touch. We have a
faux "little people" nativity that the boys love to play with, along with a couple other kid friendly ones. They were played with everyday. One day as they were playing Max kept
referring to the manger as "the baby's nest" I attempted to correct him and tell him it was a manger. Then it dawned on me- he had NO IDEA what a manger was. So I tried to explain to him that a manger was a place that animals ate. I then told them the story of Christ's birth. As I was telling them I tried to put myself in the shoes of Mary. I had just had a birth experience that if I would not have been in a hospital at least one or both of my babies would have died. Not to mention myself included. I realized that even when I had an all natural birth, I still enjoyed the clean environment of the hospital yet Mary delivered in a barn! As I was telling the big boys that baby Jesus was born in a barn, Turner was mortified! He couldn't believe that Jesus was placed where animals came to eat. It was sweet to see how much he cared about that little baby born 2,000 years ago.
