My Blog

Thanks for stopping by! I use to blog to "keep in touch," I use to blog to brag, I use to blog for an outlet. I have now realized I blog because these are the things I want my children to know/remember about our life together as a family. These days won't stop passing, but having a record of it when it is all a memory will be priceless to me.
I read your blog because I love you!

Frosting

I LOVE the movie how to loose a guy in 10 days. I always laugh at the part where Ben's boss leans out the window and yells "women of New York frost yourselves." We are leaving for CA tomorrow and while we are there we are going to have a birthday party for Turner. So I was making up frosting for his birthday cake last night and found the best recipe for frosting. It is so good. My happy thought is that I am thankful for frosting! Here is the recipe:

1/2 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

In a medium sauce pan melt butter and cook until it turns nut brown (this step is essential for the flavor) remove from heat and add powdered sugar and boiling water and stir. And vanilla.

If I don't get a chance to post in CA I will see you all when I get back!

I clipped this coupon for frosting, buy two and save like 50 cents or whatever. I didn't need any frosting, I just like it. I bought it like 6 weeks ago. It's down in my storage room with the rest of the food storage. It constantly taunts me. I want to eat some. Not a lot, just taste it. But if I taste it I pretty much have to use it up pretty fast which I just can't commit to. I just shouldn't eat a whole can of frosting for no reason. Strawberry anc chocolate, those are the flavors. Yum. Can't wait.

Thats my frosting dilemma.
