My Blog

Thanks for stopping by! I use to blog to "keep in touch," I use to blog to brag, I use to blog for an outlet. I have now realized I blog because these are the things I want my children to know/remember about our life together as a family. These days won't stop passing, but having a record of it when it is all a memory will be priceless to me.
I read your blog because I love you!

A lot of faith

Today we had the complete shock of our life! Josh and I found out shortly before Christmas that we were expecting an addition to our family. We were excited and it was planned. We waited until about New Years to tell anyone else- we just can't keep a secret very long. Yet, we wanted to wait until we went to the Dr. to make the official announcement. We have had a lot of friends go to the first appointment only to get bad news. Today we went and everything looks good so we felt it was time to tell the world. Not only does everything look good, it looks twice as good. We found out that we were having twins! We both have twins in the family... but distantly. 2 of my grandma's sisters had twins but nothing in the direct line- for me. We found out Josh's aunt was suppose to be a twin. Anyway, we are very excited but very overwhelmed. That makes 4 kids in 4 years. There are a lot of unknowns but one thing we do know, we can only take one day at a time. I also know that God is aware of me and my needs and if this his his plan then this is the plan for us and our family at this time.

I am due August 18th but of course the Dr. isn't sure I will make it that long. Any guesses... boys? girls? one of each?

Visiting Heros!

We had a field trip this week to the fire station. It was so fun and the kids haven't stopped talking about it. They learned a lot- Turner even told me today that if your clothes catch on fire then you are suppose to Stop, Drop and Roll. Yesterday he told me that if a door is hot you shouldn't open it and that you should crawl under the smoke. Max couldn't get enough of the Ambulance and kept going through for another tour. The first day we went, one of the ambulances was out helping an elderly lady. The firefighter told us that a Grandma had got sick. Turner kept saying that a Grandma died and they had to fix her. I guess he hasn't got the whole- death is permanent thing yet :)

One of my little guys from M/W couldn't make it on Monday so he joined us on Tuesday. Looks like a huge group when they are all up there!

They had an intern that tried on the firefighter suit for us. It was so much fun! The kids really loved it. I was so impressed by how good they were with the kids and they encouraged us to comeback often. I had a few moms mention how CLEAN everything was. It was very very clean- I wish I could have those guys come over and do the same to my house!

Family Fun!

We were lucky to have Josh home last night and so we decided to live it up! We made a tent around the TV, watched Fame, and ate Pizza. It was a blast! My husband is an amazing tent builder. He used the entertainment center, table, couches, a hockey stick, and a baby gate! It was awesome!

Friday Preschool

Friday preschool is so fun! I love that we have 4 kids- we can do so many things that would just be too crazy with 8. Last week we made box cars and this week we played in them. With one little girl we have seriously have to stick together! This my adorable nephew who came to visit last week and got to do preschool with us!

I love this kid! He was adopted from Haiti a few months ago (just in time.) But he still has a sister over there :( He is very artistic!

Here is our racing crew ready to go!

Love these kids!

Shhh... don't tell my husband

Don't tell my husband that I let Turner play with my My Little Ponies when he isn't home! Today we were playing with them and discovered that the new ones are magnetic!

We had a lot of fun sticking them to the side of the tunnel.

We love our tunnels and pop up houses. We have a huge maze of tunnels and houses that we got at a garage sale for $25. I love garage sales and can't wait for them to start up again.

Sometimes after Christmas I feel like we are just sitting around waiting for spring to arrive. In fact Turner asked to go to the zoo the other day and I said that it was too cold and we might have to wait until spring. He looked outside the window and said that he thought he saw spring coming. It was so funny!

Isn't he so cute! I love it!

Car paintings

Today we painted with cars! I realized that I put these in the wrong order (I hate things not being in chronological order!) But we had a lot of fun. I thought that they would love driving the cars through the paint but in reality, it was the car wash that they loved the most!

Back in school, back in school, to prove to my dad I'm not a fool

School is back in session! We will start this month doing Fridays. I am so excited to be adding this extra day. My day just goes better when we have preschool. It keeps me on a good schedule. I know I keep talking about the benifits I get from preschool- it is just that I love it so much!

Today during free time the kids wanted to play dress up. They always love it but today they seemed to love it even more!

This adorable girl in the blonde wig is always pretending that she is Hannah Montana! I love it.

I have the cutest kids in my class. I can't believe that it is registration time again. I wonder what new kids I will get in my class next year. Being relatively new I of course am alway worried that I won't get enough kids to make it a go. I am hoping that every year I will get more and more comforatble with the fact that this is going to work out.

Accomplishing goals!

Well the first goal of the new year has already been accomplished! Yesterday Josh was playing with his Lego's- he had got some new ones for Christmas from my sister, his brother, and Santa. Really, it started as him organizing his Lego's... he was moving them from the brown paper bags and taped up boxes he had them in as a child. It amazes me that even as a child he loved organization! Well, then he started building a tower with Turner and the goal was to make the tower taller than Turner. This morning we woke up and he informed us that it was finished and that he needed Turner to see if it was taller than him. We all came downstairs to the preschool and of course there was no doubt that it was taller than Turner since it is even taller than Josh! Nothing like setting goals that you will and want to accomplish!
