So it has been like 2 months since I have posted pictures of what is going on in my life. I am sure that you all have given up on me! So just a warning there might be a lot of pictures in this post. Not too many as I realized that I didn't take a single picture of my family in the month of May. That is what happens when I have a wedding going on. I spend way too much time taking pictures of other people that I for get to take pictures of my own family. June has been a busy month so far.

Us Thomson's are all about free entertainment and my husband LOVES planes so we ventured out to the Hill Air Force Base air show!

Along with every other person in Utah :) Just kidding it wasn't that bad. Yet as I saw people from every kind of walk of life I realized that behind the ear gages and fanny packs we are all the same. We all just want some free entertainment.

The air planes were cool- the show was amazing and my boys got these free plastic airplanes that are still their favorite toys weeks later!

Well, Turner's birthday came and went. I can't believe that he is 3 now! I have to admit there are some challenges with 3 but over all I LOVE IT!!! I love the stories, the imagination, the curiosity (for the most part- maybe after hearing why 10,000x/ day I do get a little weary) I love how he is making sense of the world. He has become quite the protector of the elderly. My parent's went into the
MTC on Monday (more about that visit later) but they took Turner to see my grandpa. It was the day after he had got his 3 year old check up and had a shot. While they were at the nursing home the nurse came it to check his blood sugar. Well, I guess he was pretty calm why they did it but then as the nurse was leaving he said to her with a stern face and a pointed finger: "Don't poke my grandpa again!" And he
meant it!

A few days later Turner had been out with me in the garden. Our next door neighbor is a 90 year old
Japanese immigrant. While I was in the garden Suzie came out to say hello and offer Max and him a sucker. Suzie didn't have any children so a friend (a local police officer) takes care of her and came by to take her to the Dr. Turner yelled at him "Don't take Suzie! Guy!" What a great protector!
On Turner's birthday we tried to make the day special by having a picnic of his favorite (McDonald's cheese burger) at the park for lunch and going to the movies that night. We went and saw UP- very cute movie. The day after his birthday my parents came on their way to the
MTC and we had a blast celebrating his birthday with them and Josh's family. The day after Turner's birthday is Josh's brother's birthday so we had a party with his parents, grandparents. and my parents and of course his brother- it was so fun!

Turner requested a train birthday so I made him a train cake. About an hour before the party I was about ready to throw the cake against the wall but luckily my mom came home, calmed me down and helped me.

I think it turned out pretty good! But what really mattered is that he LOVED IT! He got so giddy and he was so excited and it made all of the frustration worth it times 10!

One of Turner's favorite gifts was this water snake that he got- Max loved it too! It turns the backyard into a water park :)

Random pictures- Josh and his dad washing their hands in gas after trying to tar the swamp cooler again trying to make it last yet another year. Of course a bowl full of gas needs to be lit on fire.

It has been fun to spend some time with my parents the last two weekends. We are enjoying every moment we can. Monday the 15
th my parents went into the
MTC now Sister and Elder
Mangum
Turner was very good at helping them with their bags! You think when he goes on his mission he will be able to lift the suitcase into the car?
Since they don't have anything for senior couples do to on the weekend in the
MTC my parents decided to come and spend some more time with my grandparents. I was lucky to
sneak in some time with my dad (and mom) on father's day

They will fly out to Munich Germany on Wednesday and then will shortly be in their permanent assignment of Salzburg Austria. I know the end of this week is going to be really tough. I love them and will miss them a lot. I know that they will do amazing in this new calling. I am very excited for them!
