My Blog

Thanks for stopping by! I use to blog to "keep in touch," I use to blog to brag, I use to blog for an outlet. I have now realized I blog because these are the things I want my children to know/remember about our life together as a family. These days won't stop passing, but having a record of it when it is all a memory will be priceless to me.
I read your blog because I love you!

Building Blocks

Turner got new blocks for Christmas but it is Josh that has found the joy in building blocks. Here is his tallest tower- taller than me! Josh is an amazing architect and has some crazy block building skills.

Christmas Day

Christmas was so fun this year as we got to celebrate in Arizona with all of Turner's cousins. It was pretty crazy with 11 little ones and 5 of them being under 2. The Christmas eve program was adorable as the older grandkids acted out the christmas story. My parents even sang up on the housetop upside down with chin puppets. It was so much fun and my sweet husband was so patient as such a crowd is very different for him since his family is much smaller than mine (his parents, his brother and us.) It was pretty low key as all of us are pretty happy just sitting around talking. Thanks mom and dad for making it such a great Christmas!

In my family we have always found a service project for the Christmas season. I had decided several months ago that for my service project I would donate my hair to locks of love. I have been growing my hair since I was 22 (7 years.) My sister who is a stylist in Gilbert AZ donated the haircut. My ponytail was more than a foot! Thanks Tasha for the cute haircut. I don't have any pictures with my hair done but my mom says that I look more mature :)

Santa, nanny and sleding

Our ward Christmas party was on Dec. 1st. It was a Christmas breakfast for all of the kids. It had snowed a lot the night before so we weren't sure how many people would show up. It ended up being a great turn out and great fun. I was quite suprised that Turner didn't mind sitting on Santa's lap. It may have been due to the fact that Santa gave him candy.. or nanny as he calls it :) Turner enjoyed many aspects of Christmas and he sooned learned that Santa says Ho Ho. Of course anyone with facial hair or anyone that had faux fur soon got pointed at and called "ho ho." With all of the nanny around his sweet tooth flourished and it has been increasingly difficult to get him to be satisified with real food.

Turner got his first experience at sleding. He enjoyed the slopes.. well the hill at the elementary school. He loves snowand every morining he wakes up and looks to see if there is snow outside.
Turner and Grandma Thomson before the parade starts. It was pretty cold.

Christmas Highlights

The following are some of the highlights of Christmas 2007
The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went to the lighting of downtown Kaysville. They also had an electrical light parade afterwards. It was fun and Turner loved the Trucks! After that the Kaysville tabernacle had a display of hundreds of different nativities. As a nativity collector it was amazing. We had a lot of fun!
